Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud aur Justices JB Pardiwala aur Manoj Misra ki bench ne is issue par lawyer Anas Tanwir ke submissions ko consider kiya.

CJI Chandrachud aur unke saath dono justices ne kaha ki woh sirf paanch students ke liye do lakh students ke career ko risk mein nahi daal sakte. “Hum aise exams ko kaise postpone kar sakte hain… aajkal log bas exams postpone karne ki baat karte hain. Yeh perfect duniya nahi hai. Hum academic experts nahi hain.”

Bench ne aage kaha, “As a matter of principle, hum exam reschedule nahi karenge. Yahan do lakh students aur chaar lakh parents hain jo agar hum exam ko postpone karenge toh weekend bhar roenge. Hum itne saare candidates ke career ko jeopardy mein nahi daal sakte. Hum yeh bhi nahi jaante ke in petitions ke peeche kaun hai,” yeh PTI news agency ne bench ke hawale se kaha.
