Sanjay Roy, RG Kar Medical College ke trainee doctor ke alleged rape aur murder ka primary suspect, abhi Kolkata ke Presidency Jail mein lie detection test se guzar raha hai, officials ne Sunday ko confirm kiya.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) bhi aaj Kolkata office mein do aur individuals ka test karegi. Pichle din, Saturday ko, chaar logon, including former principal Sandip Ghosh, ne polygraph test diya, officials ne bataya.
CBI ne court se seven logon, including Roy aur Sandip Ghosh, ko lie detector test ke liye permission maangi hai. Yeh test court mein evidence ke roop mein istemal nahi ho sakta, lekin iske results agency ko aage ki investigation mein direction dete hain.
Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) Delhi se flown in polygraph specialists test conduct kar rahe hain.
Roy ko Kolkata Police ne 10 August ko arrest kiya, ek din baad jab 31-year-old medic ka body seminar hall mein mila. Roy ko CCTV footage aur ek Bluetooth device ne identify kiya, jismein woh seminar hall mein 4 am ke aaspaas enter hota dikha.
Roy (33) 2019 se Kolkata Police ke saath civic volunteer ke roop mein kaam kar raha tha. Ek trained boxer, Roy ne kuch senior police officers ke saath close relationship banayi thi, jiske baad usse Kolkata Police Welfare Board mein transfer kiya gaya aur RG Kar Medical College aur Hospital ke outpost par posted kiya gaya.
Roy ne apne khilaf lagaye gaye sabhi ilzaam ko inkaar kiya hai. CBI ne Supreme Court ko bataya tha ki crime scene ko tamper kiya gaya tha jab unhone investigation sambhala, jo local police ke dwara cover-up ka sanket deti hai.
Victim ka body, severe injuries ke marks ke saath, 9 August ko morning mein seminar hall ke chest department mein mila, jisse widespread protests phail gaye. Calcutta High Court ne 13 August ko investigation ko Kolkata Police se CBI ko transfer kar diya, jo 14 August ko apni investigation shuru ki.
